We’ve finally gone and joined the social revolution that is Facebook. Check out the flock - past & present, our work, music taste via Last FM widget and post your creative, fun stuff and comments to our fun wall. Get in touch, we’d love to hear from you, you may even bump into other like-minded creatives. You’ll need to search for me ‘Neil Asher’ (with the Black Sheep Logo not personal photo) as businesses can’t register. See you there!
‘That’s great; the more I see the design, the more I love it. Thanks Neil.’
That’s what ‘James Vilares, Widening Access Officer, Cardiff University’ said about our recently completed brochure aimed at 14-17 year olds, who wouldn’t normally be contemplating a higher education.
Here’s what Caroline Cowles, Arts Development Officer for the Cultural Services Unit in Rhondda Cynon Taf said about our recently launched identity for their ‘Take pART project. Re: ‘Another Win’, item featured 28:08:07
‘Black Sheep captured the key aspects of the Take pART programme within the logo that was developed - the fun, the excitment, the vibrant and participative aspects are all there! Also, they were ready to commence as soon as we confirmed that their pitch was successful. Throughout the process they have been willing to meet to get a better understanding of the project and have always been easily contactable for those last minute developments! We are looking forward to seeing the logo throughout Rhondda Cynon Taf very soon!’

Everybody here is really upbeat after hearing that one of our largest clients, Cadw, has just confirmed that the contract with Black Sheep will be extended by another year until the end of 2008.
We’re really pleased as it gives us further great opportunities to develop more new ways of promoting the cultural heritage of Wales’ leading tourism attraction.

Bute Street went up in flames this week. Don’t know how it got started- first we heard the fierce venting of the fire through our double glazing (the video doesn’t really show how bad it was at one point). The payment erupted and spewed out flames. No one was hurt, although we thought the car next to it was gonna go up any minute.
Our client, Barratt, recently dropped us a line to let us know that they not only achieved, but exceeded their year end budget for 2006-7.
They wrote not just to tell us, but more to the point, to thank us for all our efforts in helping them achieve this result. How fantastically refreshing to have a client who appreciates the benefits of working as a close and trusting team!
Let’s hope the feeling spreads – when and where it’s appropriate!
Featured in an article in today’s Western Mail, in response to the story that ex-Prime Minister Tony Blair wore the same lucky shoes to every Prime Minister’s Question Time, our Managing Director Rob Cozens revealed:
“If things were only that easy as to say ‘I have got a big pitch so I’ll put on my lucky pants’. I’m not aware of anyone who has a lucky charm. They probably wouldn’t say if they had a rabbit’s foot in their pocket or have to get out the right side of the bed - businessmen like to be portrayed as relying more on sound thinking than talismans”
Together with Rob, the Western Mail also asked former rugby international Gareth Edwards, Tory MP David Davies and singer/performer Max Boyce. Rob is in good company!
Come on Rob, don’t hide them, show us your lucky pants!
After seven years of meetings, lots of badgering and pitching. We’ve done it!
